The glitz and glam of the fashion world is fancied by many. It's a well fantasized dream--to live life in the "Fab Lane". Keeping up with the forever changing trends, we look to the "fashion flock" to keep us informed on the latest. New York's fashion week is fashion central; well equipped with fashion gurus who reveal it all. Between the glamorous parties and the outstanding fashion shows, “A-Listers” told all as designers flaunted their fashionable selections.
Originally referred to as the Olympus Fashion Week, the famous NYC Fashion Week is now sponsored by Mercedes Benz. With the latest show held in September of 08’, the Spring 09’ collection was unleashed. Sexy, couture designs inspired by designers, such as: Tommy Hilfiger, Narsico Rodriguez, Jill Stuart and DKNY graced presence. Spring's new trends will include hotter shades and a more polished appeal. Vintage seemed to be a favorite for many Fashion Week attendees. When paired with the more modern, Vintage creates a classic and sexy look; which, seemingly, swept NYC runways.
It was lights, camera, and action, even on the red carpet. Aside from clothing, shoes were all the rave of fashion show front rowers. Anything from the red bottomed Christian Louboutin's to the color assorted Zac Posen's (and even, traditional Chuck Taylors) were spotted on celeb’s feet.
Shapes, styles and fabrics seem to be altering the fashion radar. I'm sure, by now, we've heard that fashion seems to repeat itself. NYC Fashion Week confirms the "He say/She say" by presenting cropped pants, sheer ensembles, ruffles and tiers as well as jumpsuits. Along with the repeats are the ideas of mixing night with day. Designers became daring as they paired fabrics usually worn in the day with styles, typically, chosen for night. As they dared to mix and match fabrics they also toiled with accessorizing ideas. It was all about bold necklaces and bold bracelets. As for Dior, many models were seen in bold hues and fabrics; yet, were skimpy on jewelry (many wore no earrings).
It's all about taking the plunge in the Spring collection. Keeping your look classy and feminine but being daring enough to accent your ensemble with the latest options is what adds sex appeal. The "girl next door" look was so last season. Now, in the race is the edgier look of femininity.
